PCB Analysis Business
Under the Act on Special Measures concerning Promotion of Proper Treatment of PCB Wastes, high voltage capacitors, high voltage transformers and other waste that may contain PCBs must be inspected and, if found to contain them, treated by March 31, 2027.
From the range of analysis methods at our disposal, we select the most appropriate one for rapid and accurate analysis.
1. Sampling
Samples for analysis are collected according to JIS K 0060 (industrial waste sampling method).
At your request, our staff can visit sites anywhere in Japan to conduct sampling.
We can deal with insulating oils, waste paper, waste wood, scrap metal, waste plastic and a wide variety of other contaminants.
2. Analysis
Measure the PCB content in the sample.
Analysis Methods
We use a variety of methods to measure PCB levels.
After selecting the optimum method for the purpose of the analysis, we analyze the samples speedily and accurately.
Simplified Quantitative Methods
- Heated multi-layer silica gel column/aluminum column/gas chromatograph/quadrupole mass spectrometer (GC/QMS)
- Sulfoxide cartridge/gas chromatograph/negative ion chemical ionization mass spectrometer (GC/NICI-MS)
Rapid Determination Methods
- Hexane dilution/gas chromatograph/negative ion chemical ionization mass spectrometer (GC/NICI-MS)
3.Analytical processing
If the analysis shows low levels of PCBs in the waste, we can dispose of it in our own PCB disposal facility.
